Introduction

This is *the* site about McDonald's restaurants around where I live (Petaling Jaya, Selangor). I say *the* site because as far as I know, no one even bothers to put up a site about their favourite restaurant.

I would also like to say that I have absolutely no affiliation with McDonald's Malaysia.

Why This Site? (Written in November 2004)

Sir Edmund Hillary was reputed to have said "Because it's there," in response to a question on why he climbed Mount Everest. My reason is something like that. It's possible, so...why not?

Also, I like McDonald's food. :-) Over here, if you're going to eat out, the best place to eat is McDonald's. You could eat hawker food or at the food court but undoubtedly the food at McDonald's is nicer. Or you could spend much more money...but I do try to be careful with my money so I don't really like expensive places.

Why Continue This Site? (Written in May 2006)

McDonald's has just recently revamped its price structure again, and the most noticeable change is that the Double Cheeseburger is no longer priced at RM2.50 but at RM5.10. Then I realised that my old site was the only site that actually chronicled a little bit of McDonald's history, although it was a little incomplete. Everyone would soon forget about what McDonald's was like in the past, and that the Double Cheeseburger was once RM2.50, and so on.

So I have decided to continue this site, for the sake of remembering what it was like before. And in a few years' time, I can look back and see how McDonald's has progressed (or regressed) over the years. Right now it has been 1 year and 6 months already.

Who am I? Where do I Live?

I am a 20-year-old Malaysian who does not need a blurb of introduction to make him happy likes McDonald's and also does other things, like tinker with his Linux computer and play the piano. I live in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia (which is directly north of Singapore, if you know where that is). Our unit of currency is the Ringgit Malaysia (RM), where RM1 = 100 sen. Currently RM3.70 is equivalent to USD1.
